Rook Quant AI ("Rook," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use rookai.co, our waitlist, portal, and related services (the "Services"). Rook is designed for live brokerage trading with real money; we process account and order-related data needed to operate that workflow — we do not hold your funds.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Email address (waitlist, account creation, login)
• Name, username, and profile fields you choose to provide
• Password (stored as a secure hash; we do not store plaintext passwords)
• Communications you send us (support, feedback)
• Brokerage connection data you choose to link. For Charles Schwab, that includes OAuth tokens and hashed account identifiers. We do not put full account numbers in public APIs.
• When you connect another broker through SnapTrade, account and transaction data SnapTrade sends us (such as account name, positions, and buy/sell history) so we can show Dashboard and Journal
• Trading configuration you set (Limits, risk controls, automation preferences) and journaled fill history for your seat

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser information
• Usage data (pages visited, feature use, approximate timing)
• IP address and approximate location
• Cookies or similar technologies needed for sessions and security

2. SnapTrade brokerage connections

If you use Connect broker, Rook registers a SnapTrade user for your seat and opens SnapTrade's connection portal. You authorize the broker there. The permission we request is read-only. Rook uses the returned account and activity data only to display your Dashboard and Journal for that seat. We store an encrypted SnapTrade user secret so we can refresh that import. We do not use SnapTrade data to place orders, and we do not sell it.

You can ask us to disconnect SnapTrade and delete the stored secret by writing to rooksupport@rookai.co. SnapTrade's own policy is at snaptrade.com/privacy-policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
• Process waitlist registrations and send welcome or invite emails
• Authenticate sessions and protect the portal
• Import read-only brokerage history you connect through SnapTrade into your Journal
• Operate strategy sizing, live Schwab order routing, journaling, and related trading workflows you enable, including real-money trades when Live mode is on
• Respond to support requests
• Detect abuse, secure the platform, and comply with law
• Send product updates (you can opt out of non-essential marketing emails)

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers that help us operate the Services (hosting, email delivery, cloud infrastructure, analytics)
• SnapTrade (Passiv Inc.) when you connect a broker through their portal, so they can retrieve the read-only account and transaction data described above
• Brokers you connect, including Charles Schwab when you enable that connection (subject to their policies)
• Legal compliance when required by law or to protect rights and safety
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

5. Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect accounts. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling them may break login or portal features.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and hardened hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide the Services, operate waitlists, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may request deletion of waitlist or account data subject to legal retention needs.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to opt out of marketing. Contact rooksupport@rookai.co to exercise these rights.

9. Email Communications

If you join the waitlist or create an account, we may email you confirmations, invites, and product updates. Transactional mail (security, account) may still be sent when required. Unsubscribe links or a reply to rooksupport@rookai.co can stop marketing mail.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third parties, including X/Twitter, Charles Schwab, SnapTrade, and cloud providers. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies separately. SnapTrade's policy is linked above.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. International Users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Material changes may be noted on the site or by email.
